Dr. Karissa Sciacca is originally from Long Island, New York. She attended Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts for her undergraduate degree (2012) and then returned to New York to attend Cornell University for her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (2016). After graduation, Dr. Sciacca relocated to Phoenix, Arizona and started her veterinary career in general practice. After seven years in the desert, Dr. Sciacca moved to Florida to be back on the East Coast and near the beach. Her professional interests include soft-tissue surgery, internal medicine, and ultrasonography. Outside of work, Dr. Sciacca enjoys spending time with her husband and three dogs (Olive, Kona, and Murphy), being outdoors, kayaking, and cooking or baking.
